Park once, walk to
bb.q Chicken Convoy
The Convoy branch of bb.q, Korea's biggest fried-chicken chain, in the Convoy Village plaza with Olleh. Double-crispy whole chicken, boneless thigh or wings in 14 flavors — from Golden Original and honey garlic to cheesling cheese powder and the very hot Wings of Fire — plus rose tteokbokki, kimchi fried rice and $15.99 weekday lunch combos. Roomy dining room with K-pop on the screens.
It's Boba Time
The long-running, roomy boba shop in Convoy Village with one of the biggest menus around — milk teas, slushes, smoothies, shakes, frappes and fresh juice, plus popcorn chicken, fries, acai bowls and shaved ice. Boba comes free in every drink, and there's plenty of seating to hang out or study.
Melody Karaoke & Cafe
Polished private karaoke rooms in Convoy Village — about 10 rooms from small booths up to VIP rooms for 18 and 25 — with a Chinese kitchen, flavored soju pitchers and a free fruit platter. A favorite for birthday parties; the song system leans Chinese, so English-only groups should read the notes.
Monsta Ramen Curry
Budget ramen and Japanese curry in the Convoy Village plaza — most apps $5-7, curry rice from $9, lunch specials from about $10, and none of the big-name lines. Regulars say the curry beats the ramen, so order accordingly.
Olleh Convoy Korean BBQ
Big, fast AYCE Korean BBQ in Convoy Village, a few doors from Manna — and usually the quicker seat of the two. Premium ($34.99) covers about two dozen meats including LA kalbi, bulgogi, pork belly, shrimp and octopus; Prime ($45.99) adds ribeye, beef tongue and tiger shrimp. Solo diners welcome.
Seoul Glow Lab
Independent, women-owned Korean skincare shop in Convoy Village, open since October 2025 — a curated wall of indie K-beauty brands (many hard to find at big retailers) with testers out, plus in-depth skin analysis sessions and facials by appointment.
Shan Xi Magic Kitchen
Northwest Chinese noodle house next to Yun Tea — thick, chewy hand-ripped biang biang noodles, cumin lamb and cold liang pi in share-size portions. Fast once you're seated; get there before 9.
Tasty Bakery
A family-run Cantonese-Vietnamese bakery in Convoy Village for 20-plus years: flaky pate so (pork and onion pies), banh bao, pork and coconut buns for $3-6, and light, not-too-sweet sponge cakes in pandan, taro, coffee and durian. It's the go-to for birthday cakes. Takeout only; closed Tuesdays.
Yun Tea House
The prettiest boba tea house on Convoy — cloud lights, a little river running down the long table, and teas brewed to order so the tea actually comes through. One of the top-rated boba shops in San Diego, open until nearly midnight on weekends, and they'll pour you samples before you choose.
